DIRECTOR, PHARMACY TREND MANAGEMENT
The Director, Pharmacy Trend Management will be responsible for overseeing and managing pharmacy trend and therapeutic category management processes. Responsible for developing and coordinating Cost of Care management strategies for the PBM to meet savings projections. Will work with the actuarial departments of our customers and clients to meet their informational needs by providing information on pharmacy industry trends and key statistics critical for forecasting. Will develop and maintain Clinical Services department process documentation for Cost of Care programs. Management duties to include managing, developing, counseling and evaluating all Clinical Trend Management team.
Bachelors degree or equivalent required. A minimum of 5 years pharmacy practice experience in a managed care environment. Current Pharmacist license preferred. Experience should include: business planning, pharmaceutical manufacturer relations, drug utilization review, data analysis and reporting, product development, productivity improvement, leadership, business growth and client retention, financial management of prescription drug costs, clinical intervention design and implementation. Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills required. Requires strong analytical, research, and project management skills. Strong computer skills required. Ability to utilize MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Must demonstrate ability to meet multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
