Position Summary
The French Group has been exclusively retained to assist our client, one of the nation’s leading healthcare organizations, in identifying a physician executive for this highly visible and strategic role
Partnering with and reporting to the CEO, the Chief Medical Officer is truly an integral part of the Executive Leadership Team. The CMO provides vision and leadership to the strategic planning, execution and implementation of all care management programs.
Selected Additional Responsibilities
· Provide clinical operations oversight, expertise and leadership to ensure the delivery of cost effective, quality healthcare.
· Build and promote strong synergies with stakeholders to identify, support and implement cost of care initiatives and improve outcomes.
· Collaborate seamlessly with Network Management to support strong provider relations and development of innovative provider-facing, value-based care programs and reimbursement structures.
· Provide leadership and expertise in overseeing the development and implementation of medical policy and evidence-based clinical guidelines.
· Participate in due diligence of growth opportunities and strategic acquisitions.
The CMO is a critical medical and business leader and contact for external providers, CMS and other regulatory agencies; thus, requiring superior interpersonal, negotiation, influencing and presentation skills. The CMO must have a successful track record for oversight and management of clinical operations with a proven ability to lead and promote accountability. The successful candidate will also have strong analytical skills and adept at collaborating cross-functionally to drive positive change in value-based health care initiatives.
Selected Additional Qualifications And Skills
· M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited institution with active, unrestricted license to practice medicine and current Board-Certification in an ABMS -recognized specialty. Additional qualification in Geriatrics is ideal.
· Extensive Medicare Advantage experience with in-depth knowledge of risk adjustment, Stars and value-based programs in addition to state and federal regulations.
